The manufacturer says this is a Chenille-style, 100% polyester yarn.

I say it’s the softest darn yarn I have felt in all my years of fondling yarn 🙂

 The Inspiration behind Specially Knitted.

A few years ago, after a hysterectomy, a friend offered to knit me a prayer shawl.

Come close.

Closer.

Ok. Here’s the thing: I am all about prayer, but I. AM. NOT. THE. SHAWL-KIND.

Soooo, instead of a shawl, I asked her to make me prayer-socks to keep my feet warm instead. She was thrilled, and so was I when she gifted me a pair of red knitted socks. I fell in love with the idea of wearing something someone I knew made for me, and I wanted to learn how to knit.

When I was recovering, a woman at church started an alternative to Sunday school: “Knit ONE, Pray TWO.” It was such perfect timing, I just knew I had to try my hands at knitting, and my heart at intentional praying. Specially Knitted Blankets is a mindful-heart thing for me … so when you order a blanket for a special person – be it yourself or someone you love – the deal is this:

Tell me the special person’s name.

Tell me what inspired you to gift it.

Tell me how I can help you pray, or send out positive vibes and thoughts.

There is only one size.

Colors  change according to the season, so we will discuss that via email or a phone call. 

Blankets are hand-knitted upon order, so it will take a minimum of two to three weeks to be completed and shipped.  I do this for the love and not for the aggravation. There will be no ear for complaints or refunds.

Measurements may change slightly due to the natural shift of the yarn. There is one price of $250, plus shipping.
