I Lived a Dream

Welcome to My Paris Journal : Day 7

I lived a dream, my friends.

I sauntered through a French market and feasted my eyes on things I’ve seen only in my dreams.

But before I did, I sat comfortably on the wrong side of the track. Then boarded a train going in the opposite direction of our destination.

Luckily, we realized two stops later and hopped off, hustled through major people-traffic, hightailed it up some serious steps, then finally onboard the right train.

Finally, we were on our merry way to Bastille Market or Marché de La Bastille.

From panties to pastries and artful display of jewelry to chicken you can find everything and anything here.

These French market vendors– farmers, fishmongers, clothes vendors, florists, fruit growers, wine sommeliers

cheese and butter makers

come from all over France to sell their goods at the open market.

I found it fascinating that I smelled the flowers only after I walked past them.

I absolutely loved sardines when I ate them in Spain. So when I saw them on display, I knew I had to get some for dinner.

I did my best at ordering by pointing and muttering a few French words I’ve learned so far!!

I cleaned.

Floured.

Fried and served with a salad.

With a virtual glass of wine raised, Here is to living our dreams.

Until next time,

Be well

Kadine
