I migrated from Jamaica to the United States when I was eleven years old.
I have lived in four states,
seven cities, and thirteen homes.

From these experiences, I have learned:

Home is not just a physical space.

Home is daily conversations my sister,
laughter with my brother, and the length of my mother’s never-ending, but sagacious stories.
Home is coffee with my hubby,
one and one time with my children,

and Me-moments.

Home is crisp fall breeze
early spring days, and lazed hours in my hammock.

Home is a quote from a book that transforms my thought.

Home is in the people who’ve loved me in Jamaica, New Jersey, Florida, and California.
Home is in each moment that is creating my roots.

Where is HOME for you?
