Mon journal parisien : Jour 5

Call us locals 😜

We made espresso at the apartment.

We held on to the same pole on the train:-)

Sometimes being brave is taking a train in a foreign country to places you’ve never been. Today, we were brave!!!

We crossed the Seine to capture this photo.

We took not one, but TWO trains to the Eiffel Tower. We snapped as many photos as we could then we headed to a restaurant not-worthy-of-words-for lunch. (I don’t recommend eating so close to such touristy spot because:

  1. The price was high
  2. The food was terrible
  3. And… the waiter forgot my wine twice!! Then he literally brought it to me when he was clearing off our table. I basically chugged wine like I was in college.

I heard the French were mean to Americans, but so far, they have been gracious to me. This was the fifth time a group of French people stopped or walked around us, so we could take our photos. I say, ignore what people say, have your own experiences, and form your own opinions.

Ontonio loves sweets so much, I had to buy him this Nutella crepe.

I had a bite and that was enough for me because truthfully, I don’t have a sweet tooth. Silly fact: I pick out the chocolate out of chocolate chip cookies😜

I spotted the Flamme de La Liberte from afar and was pulled to it by a loud energy. Interestingly, just below the statue is the tunnel where Princess Diana died.

The lovers’ locks are plentiful here. You can find them on random fences throughout the City.

And… the bench spoke to me and said: Take YOUR time!

“Never pass up the opportunity to go into a church when in Paris,” my dear friend Judy said.

After a thirty-minute walk, we arrived at the famous Arc De Triomphe.

Then we strolled down the famous Champs-Elysees( pardon me for not having the the accents)—and I couldn’t help but hum the song from Emily in Paris?

On our way from the market (with toilet paper and baguette), I flipped through a few books at an open stand. Since I believe wild dreams come true, I foresee my memoir being published in French. What is your wild dream?

The day is not done without dinner. Some of the greatest gifts I receive from traveling are the ideas I take home with me. A bouquet of bay leaf and dried time will forever be a staple in my kitchen.

Until Next time,

Be Well,

Kadine
