When I saw Bella Grace Magazine on the shelf at Barnes two years ago, I was smitten, at first glance.
Then at first touch, it felt as though my hands landed on a texture they had been in search of for decades.
The cover is smooth and lustrous and perfect. The inside is a soul-surge.
For two years, I read articles written by writers who wrote their tiny hearts out – some from broken places- so that other’s might be inspired to heal. Others from creative spaces that inspired others to explore, create, and be free.
For two years, I used my iPhone to snap photographs taken by photographers who paused for a moment- sometimes hours – to take that one visual story under the perfect light. For two years, I jotted down inspirational quotes in my notebook, and for two years, I put the magazine back on the shelf. It was so hard to wrap my mind around purchasing a magazine for twenty dollars!
Then, a month ago, as I stood browsing through yet another Bella Grace magazine in the line at Michaels, reading yet another story, I was transported to a place that felt like home – and it hit me! Bella Grace is not just another magazine. It is a collection of everything I love – photographs, stories, and inspirational quotes, creative women. Bella Grace Magazine is home. Home is the place or thing or people who feed your soul – and being home is worth every God damn penny.
