Yesterday, I sunbathed in my backyard.

It was wild and unlike me. My body drank in the sun, and within minutes I was loose, my skin felt soft and free and so dam natural. “How is it, in my 38 years of living, hadn’t I done  this before?” I thought.

The answer was clear: I am just now unfolding, loosening up. Letting myself BE, Me.

So, I am on a small mission to finding wild. And because I love to ask my friends to chime in… Here are a few of their own finding wild moments.

“I was in Miami for a friend’s bachelorette party. It was around 1 a.m. and we all wanted to go swimming…naked. The moon was out, there was a cool breeze and all you could hear were the waves and our giggles!  It was a beautiful moment. We literally looked at the sign, ‘pool temporary closed’ and walked right past it!”    Toni

“I took my 11-year-old son on an overnight camping trip, just the two of us. Pitching a tent and building fires and baiting hooks and kayaking. We were in the wild and we loved it.”  Gretchen

“After Hurricane Irma, I took a shower outside with a garden hose. It was the best shower ever.”   Stacy

“When I am in Florida, with no house guest, I too sunbathe on my balcony. It’s pretty private unless you hang over the edge.” Ellen

“The kids and I were going down an empty hallway and they wanted to do cartwheels. I joined them and we did cartwheels all the way down the hallway.” Mona

“Wild means doing something your heart desires without being oppressed in the process. I can’t say I have felt that.” Marquita

“I have been living like a pig all week.  I don’t have the time to wash my dishes nor clean my house.  It’s embarrassing but for me, it feels wild.”    T.C

“I’m visiting with family but my wife is home because she has to work. Last night she went out by herself and tonight she is going dancing. Sixteen years if marriage and I think she is pretty wild.”  Omar

Finding wild is splitting the mundane in half and doing something out of the norm.

Maybe you can try something mentioned above tomorrow, this summer, or this year.  Or if you’re trying to find wild in something simple and low key, join me in taking yourself for a milkshake this weekend. If you do, send me pics:-)

P.S I’m so excited to hang out with Me.
